Kris Drever celebrates his first decade as an acclaimed solo artist and songwriter with a new studio album and tour “If Wishes Were Horses” (Reveal Records) on March 28th 2016. The album is his first for six years, during which time his band Lau have established themselves as the most widely acclaimed and musically progressive trio in British folk music.

Kris’ voice and guitar forms part of the backbone of today’s contemporary roots scene. Hugely admired as a solo artist, collaborator, and member of folk superstars Lau, he is a phenomenal and prolific artist. Drever has already played alongside Jack Bruce, Bela Fleck, Tinariwen, Joan As Police Woman, Jerry Douglas, Danny Thompson, Tim O’Brien, Sarah Jarosz, Shawn Colvin, Phil Cunningham, Rosanne Cash, Roddy Woomble, Eddi Reader, Adem, Kate Rusby, Julie Fowlis and Karine Polwart.

As well as material from If Wishes Were Horses Kris will revisit older songs from across his catalogue playing many live for the first time. Fans can get involved by posting on his Facebook old songs they would like to hear and Kris will pick from those selections.
