Resident host DAN NIGHTINGALE introduces double headliners TOM WRIGGLESWORTH and DANA ALEXANDER
TOM WRIGGLESWORTH is now firmly established as one of the UK’s most distinctive and sought after talents. Since his Edinburgh Comedy Award nomination in 2009, he’s continued to gain momentum as a phenomenal live performer, accomplished TV presenter and star of BBC Radio. He’s enjoyed several nationwide tours, written and starred in four self-titled series for Radio 4, and been invited to perform at comedy festivals across the globe. He is also known for his uncanny resemblance to record breaking Quarter-Back Aaron Rodgers. Tom visited Green Bay to meet his doppelganger and a short movie by NFL Films covering his trip became a viral YouTube hit.
DANA ALEXANDER began her career at the age of 18 years old in Canada, quickly establishing herself as one of the country’s brightest prospects. She moved to the UK in 2011, making her Edinburgh Festival debut that same year. She was then nominated for Best Club Comic in the 2012 Chortle Awards. Dana has since gone on to take the UK comedy circuit by storm, performing at all of the major venues and making various TV appearances. Her solo comedy special has also aired on Canada’s popular stand-up show ‘Comedy Now’ and she has been named in the country’s Top 10 Comedians for three years running by Toronto’s renowned NOW Magazine.
DAN NIGHTINGALE, widely regarded as one of the best performers working on the comedy circuit today, is our resident MC. Mixing fiendishly accurate observation with energetic characterisations and killer punch lines, his comedy is original, playful, intelligent, poignant and exciting; sometimes ridiculous… but always hilarious. As well as being a top-class circuit headliner and in-demand MC, he has also performed regular TV warm up for the likes of Jonathan Ross, John Bishop and Celebrity Juice.
