Host MARK OLVER introduces double headliners TOM WRIGGLESWORTH and ALLYSON JUNE SMITH.

Yorkshire funnyman TOM WRIGGLESWORTH is now firmly established as one of the UK’s most distinctive and sought after talents. Since his Edinburgh Comedy Award nomination in 2009, he’s continued to gain momentum as a phenomenal live performer, accomplished TV presenter and star of BBC Radio. He’s enjoyed several nationwide tours, written and starred in four self-titled series for Radio 4, and been invited to perform at comedy festivals across the globe. He is also known for his uncanny resemblance to record breaking Quarter-Back Aaron Rodgers. Tom visited Green Bay to meet his doppelganger and a short movie by NFL Films covering his trip became a viral YouTube hit.

“The Gods of comedy chose Tom Wrigglesworth for greatness” – Scotsman

Canadian émigré ALLYSON JUNE SMITH commands every stage she walks onto with her own dynamite brand of hilarious material, driven by the strong rhythms that are a hallmark of so much North American stand-up. Her bold, observational style saw her quickly achieve prominence in Canada with credits including her own hour long TV comedy special, radio shows and festival appearances; she has also been nominated on numerous occasions for the Canadian Comedy Award for Best Female Stand Up. Allyson is a regular support act for Stewart Francis on his live tour dates, and has supported Jason Manford on tour and co-hosted Jason’s Absolute Radio Show.

“Simply one of the funniest comedians I’ve ever worked with. Can play any crowd and always has them laughing their heads off. She’s gonna be a huge star” – Jason Manford
