Resident host DAN NIGHTINGALE introduces double headliners CHARLIE BAKER and CHRISTIAN SCHULTE-LOH.
CHARLIE BAKER’s instant likeability and charming delivery style have earned him a reputation as ‘a superior take on the modern showman’ (The Guardian). He is a popular face on TV having appeared as team captain on A Short History Of Everything Else (Channel 4), two series of Never Mind the Buzzcocks (BBC2), Rob Brydon’s Christmas Special (BBC1), Edinburgh Comedy Fest Live (BBC3) and The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice (BBC2). Charlie is also a highly acclaimed jazz singer and actor.
CHRISTIAN SCHULTE-LOH is an international stand-up act from Germany who has performed in clubs and at festivals in more than twenty countries. Christian regularly performs at the biggest clubs in the UK, Germany and on the European circuit. He has been called ‘a funny German – the only one!’ (KUNST Mag, Belgium), and The Spectator described him as ‘one of the most subversive acts ever’. Christian performs in three languages: English, German and Spanish. He has toured the world, won several awards (including ‘King Gong’ at London’s Comedy Store) and regularly appears at the Edinburgh Fringe.
DAN NIGHTINGALE, widely regarded as one of the best performers working on the comedy circuit today, is our resident MC. Mixing fiendishly accurate observation with energetic characterisations and killer punch lines, his comedy is original, playful, intelligent, poignant and exciting; sometimes ridiculous… but always hilarious. As well as being a top-class circuit headliner and in-demand MC, he has also performed regular TV warm up for the likes of Jonathan Ross, John Bishop and Celebrity Juice.
