Hosted by Mike Olver with double headliners: GARY DELANEY & ANDY ASKINS
MARK OLVER is a stand-up comedian and television warm-up artist, widely regarded as the finest compere in the country. His television warm-up credits include Vicar of Dibley, 8 Out of 10 Cats, The Last Leg, 10 O’Clock Live, The Jonathon Ross Show, Stand Up for the Week, Have I Got News for You and Deal or No Deal. He also regularly comperes and headlines for comedy clubs and promoters all over the UK, and has supported such acts as Russell Howard and Lee Mack on national tours.
GARY DELANEY – is a razor sharp one-liner comedian, who is widely regarded as being the most quotable comic on the circuit. The sheer number of outstanding gags leaves the audience struggling to remember them all. Gary is a regular guest on Mock the Week and has also appeared on Dave’s One Night Stand, Comedy Central’s The Comedy Store and Comedy Blue, and on Channel 4’s Robert’s Web. He has also been on Radio 4’s Loose Ends, Radio 5’s 7 Day Saturday and Radio 2’s Russell Kane’s Whistle-Stop Tour.
ANDY ASKINS is a diminutive figure who exudes an air of vulnerability as he steps up to the microphone armed with a guitar and a cheeky grin. It’s an overwhelmingly misleading demeanour which serves to heighten the impact of the killer lines that he delivers.
Since becoming a full time comedian back in 2005, Andy has built a reputation as a distinctive and original talent, and is now a highly sought-after headliner at all the major UK comedy clubs.
